Inbox Filters

It'd be great if we had criteria we could use to filter our inbox.
For example, suppose we have tasks coming in via two different project management tools like ClickUp and Asana, a filter to only show tasks from Asana and vice versa.
Additional filters from apps, or combinations thereof, would be great as well. Same goes for things like tags, priority, date, etc.

Came here to +1 because unlike other views for some reason inbox doesn't have filter option for projects. Because of this I just tend to avoid using inbox or maybe just as heap of backlog stuff.

Vladislav: Can you try using tags to replicate Projects and let me know how it goes? Tags can be used to better filter tasks from your menu pages as well as projects.

Jeson P I use tags and projects differently, and it's workaround really. I am not in a hurry :)
Jeson P
Vladislav: Understood! I am personally excited for more sorting options for inbox too!

I'm with everyone on this—the Inbox is super overwhelming. There's just too much going on and my eyes don't know where to settle because of all the tasks. It would be super helpful to filter or even group tasks, kind of like how we can sort right now. If I could group tasks by Project or something from the sort menu, and then be able to expand or collapse these groups, that would be IMMENSELY helpful.

To-Nasia Cohen: Hi! Does temporarily creating a tag to replicate your desired filters help? Try it and let me know!

Jeson P - I test Akiflow a couple times a year to see if it's a viable tool to replace Sunsama yet. For me, creating tags to replicate filters does not help in a sufficient manner as I would need to be able to filter the task list in bulk to then apply the tags.

Agree with Eli Alcaraz - I have/had used Morgen as well (and Sunsama). They have the ability to present the inbox or tasks in a much more visually appealing way. If you have a lot of integrations in Akiflow (I have gmail, todoist, asana, notion) - the list is painfully unorganized and hard to daily plan.

Jonathan: Thank you so much for your feedback Jcahill! We're considering ways to improve our inbox and make planning easier, I'll keep you posted!

Agreed! I’d love to even see the ability to separate inbox items by which database in Notion they came from, for example.

Sunsama does it really well with the Integration Filters

Akiflows Inbox handling is the biggest paint Point.

@Stefania - Morgen does this where you can cycle between integrations in the inbox. Although I think Akiflow has an opportunity to design it better as it gets too cluttered how Morgen does it.
Another thing that I would love on the Inbox Filters is to be able to only show tasks that I created in Akiflow.
So maybe something like:
- Show all tasks
- Filter to only show Akiflow Tasks
- Filter to show by integration (checklist type of which integrations I'd want to show)
I hope that's helpful. Thank you guys. You've been amazing.

Eli Alcaraz: Thank you so much Eli! This is very helpful :)

Integration view in the left panel

I would like to see each task integration I have connected in the left panel to quickly see the tasks associated only with that integration.
Stefania
Hi Conner, how would you use this kind of view? Thanks!

Stefania: It would be a quick way to easily filter my tasks by each integration. Instead of getting lost in the sea of tasks, i could easily and quickly see what is organized by each tool: Notion, Slack, Todoist, Jira, etc.
Stefania
Conner Drew: Thanks Conner! I'll keep you posted about this.
