Love this!!! Honestly, adding this feature + weekly/monthly rituals would make me stay in Akiflow despite prices being so high.

Marta García-Obregón: Happy to say that weekly and monthly rituals will be released on our next update this week!

I don't know if this has already been reviewed by the Akiflow team, but it would be really great.
Jeson P
Jérémie: Thank you for bumping this! If you have a specific idea on how we should approach this, we'd love to know it here! :)

Jeson P Hello, thank you for your feedback, here's the complete idea I had in mind for this feature (I tried to make it as complete and detailed as possible):
1.Essential Features
1.1 Seamless Integration
The Habit Tracker should integrate seamlessly into Akiflow's interface, allowing users to track their habits without leaving the main application. This would ensure a smooth and consistent user experience.
1.2 Advanced Customization
Users should be able to create custom habits with great flexibility:
- Variable frequency: daily, weekly, monthly, or custom
- Quantifiable goals: number of repetitions, duration, or simple validation
- Categorization: by life area (health, work, personal development, etc.)
- Priorities: allow prioritization of habits
- Rituals: Allow establishing periods in the calendar to perform our habits. (Example: Morning routine between 8am and 9am and integrate all the habits to do in the morning)
- Energy level: Being ADHD, having a routine that adapts to my energy level / motivation is crucial. An idea could be to have a minimal / realistic / ideal version of my habits / routines
1.3 Intuitive Visualization
The tracker should offer several views to analyze progress:
- Calendar with color coding
- Progress graphs
- Customizable dashboards

- Advanced Features
2.1 Intelligent Tracking
The system could use artificial intelligence to:
- Suggest complementary habits
- Identify optimal times to practice certain habits
- Predict abandonment risks and propose adjustments
2.2 Gamification
To maintain motivation, the tracker could integrate gamification elements:
- Streaks and virtual rewards
- Personal or group challenges
- Progression levels
2.3 In-depth Analysis
Analysis tools would allow users to:
- Identify correlations between habits and productivity
- Generate detailed reports on long-term progress
- Obtain personalized insights to optimize their routines
2.4 Intelligent Notifications
The system could send contextual reminders based on:
- The user's schedule
- Their location (via mobile app)
- Their personal preferences
2.5 Automations
Allow the creation of automated workflows, for example:
- Block time in the calendar for certain habits
- Automatically adjust goals based on progress

3 Technical Aspects
3.1 Performance
The Habit Tracker should be lightweight and not slow down Akiflow's overall performance[2].
3.2 Privacy
Users' sensitive data should be encrypted and stored securely[3].
3.3 Multi-device Synchronization
Tracker data should sync instantly across all of the user's devices.
By integrating these features, Akiflow's Habit Tracker could become a powerful tool to help users develop and maintain positive habits, while remaining perfectly integrated into their daily workflow. This holistic approach to time and habit management could significantly improve users' productivity and well-being.

Jérémie PISTRE: Thank you so much for the time and effort you put into crafting this detailed feature idea. Your suggestions are incredibly thoughtful and comprehensive, and we truly appreciate how thoroughly you've considered both essential and advanced features. Your input, especially around customization, intelligent tracking, and integration, aligns with our goal of making Akiflow a more powerful and user-friendly tool. We’ll be passing this on to the team for consideration as we continue to evolve the platform.

Jeson P Thanks for your feedback, and I'm glad these ideas have been passed on to the rest of the team. Akiflow has become an essential tool in my organisation and I'd be delighted to see this type of feature arrive to make it an even more brilliant app.
Jeson P
Jérémie PISTRE: Glad this is working so well for you and we can't wait to add more features that can make this tool even better!

Calendar Integration for Habits with Auto-Tracking and Logging

It would be nice if Akiflow support habits instead of tasks, with the ability for habits to automatically populate the calendar. If a habit is not completed, it should not remain in the list of undone tasks. Instead, the next occurrence of the habit should appear on the current day, with a log indicating whether it was left undone the previous day. This feature would simplify habit tracking compared to using Notion, which is currently too complicated for this purpose.

Agreed! I have some habits that I’d like to look at from a different perspective. Like for my morning routine I want to just check them off but not have full functionality that as task has. Then I can go back and see my progress over time. Ticktick did it pretty well

Id even probably pay a bit extra for something like this

would LOVE to have habit tracker like TickTick! right now i have my meds and routines in recurring tasks, but then I can't see at a glance how my month was in terms of a specific habit. Whereas in TickTick that is possible and it's what I used before migrating to Akiflow

+1 to this, but particularly with the added component of “missed” or “skipped”. IMO being able to consolidate my platforms/tools, this would be high on my wish list.

This is the feature why I don't trade ticktick for akiflow and it probably happens to a lot of people. Habits are part of the agenda but require different treatment (especially statistics)
