I'm doing my best but the lack of email integration is causing me real issues with my workflow. I know there are workarounds but Zapiers is messy, so you're left having to use outlook or gmail. At the moment I'm copying the contents of the email and then creating a task into Akiflow, it works, but it's not slick. For me this is vital, so many other productivity apps have this feature.

Michael: Hi Michael! Thank you for the upvote. What email platform are you currently using and I'm curious what are the reasons why you copy the contents of the email to Akiflow task when we can import them direct from the email integrations?

Jeson P Hi Jeson - I'm using Apple mail. I've tried using outlook to get the import, but for some reason it won't work, I'm getting 'connection failed' messages time and time again, then Zapier intgaration which works but I think is a mess - nothing that comes through makes sense the heading of the task is my email address! and it won't pull attachments through - so I've given up on Akiflow sadly. There's just too much friction for me, especially for apple users. Things 3, Omnifocus all use mail drop using keyboard shortcuts for emails on a lot of different email platforms. No Apple calendar is also a killer.

I would like to do this from the akiflow app itself. So click on their connected email account, it would load their inbox within Akiflow. From there, users could drag and drop emails directly into their Akiflow Inbox or convert them into tasks. Seems much faster to me than going to my external email client and send to an email adress..

Send emails directly to Akiflow with a personal email address so that they appear as a task. I can't connect my business email address directly to Akiflow, but I still need the tasks in the inbox.

I use multiple different generic Mail accounts (SMTP, IMAP) which cannot be intuitively connected to Akiflow. I would love to have the option to just foward an email to akiflow (e.g. xxxxxxxmaildrop@akiflow.com) and that Akiflow automatically generates a task for every Mail I sent to that address. This way it would work with any mail provider and system. This requires an individual email address for ever Akiflow user. I've seen this feature on other tools as well. Would appreciate it! Love Akiflow btw! This is the tool I've been looking for for years!

This is such an important feature. It's available in Todoist and Things and TickTick. I don't want to share all my emails with cloud service providers, even if they are with a nice company like Akiflow!

Akiflow should have a feature where sending an email to a specific address provided by Akiflow automatically adds it to the user’s inbox as a task.
