It would be great to have the "Slot Name" previewed on any given task in the task column. What I mean is, similar to the task description, which is automatically previewed on a given task (screenshot 1), it would be great if, for instance, the slot name is displayed above tasks belonging to that slot. The above placement also ensures, that the description placement can remain as is. To visualize, screenshot 2 shows how it looks currently, and screenshot 3 is my photoshopped suggestion. All three of these tasks are actually already part of the slot "Week 1 - Lecture Readings" but there is no sensible way of seeing that from the task column. Furthermore, this is inconvenient, as it requires the user to make each task name very specific to the point where you must duplicate information (e.g. "Week 1" on the task and "Week 1" on the slot). This becomes an efficiency and accessibility issue, especially when considering this example: For my university work I need to perform certain tasks or stages for up to four courses at a time and for different weeks. For instance Slot: "Week 1 - Lecture Reading" (Most important) Slot: "Week 1 - Course Book Readings" (Second important) Slot: "Week 1 - Journal Readings" (Third importatn) If this accessibility issue would be resolved I could simply write the course names into each slot e.g. "AGA", "DPBI", "DDB" as tasks, and the user would directly understand what to do based on the combination between slot name and task name, which would be unique and clear. Right now, this is impossible, as it would lead to 3 on first glance virtual duplications of the three courses, totalling 9 tasks which you can not distinguish on first glance. So the user is forced to write on top of the slot name for instance "Week 1 - Lecture Reading - AGA", "Week 1 - Lecture Reading - DPBI", and "Week 1 - Lecture Reading - DDB") and do this for all of the slots and courses in similar fashion. I hope the dilemma is clear! While this suggestion is very simple, I think it has a huge impact on usability. Please reach out if you need more qualification.
